L1 News. July 12, 2024. André Rieu now also has his own stamp. Yesterday PostNL issued the stamp sheetlet “The Magic of André Rieu”. This is on the occasion of the violinist and orchestra leader's 75th birthday, which will be celebrated on October 1. The five personal stamps show portraits of André Rieu in various ages, with his violin. On the sheet edge he is depicted as a conductor of his orchestra. The stamps have the value indication 1 and this means that they are suitable for mail up to 20 grams with a destination within the Netherlands.
